READING
CONTEXTUAL READING :
- Read and find facts (Factual comprehension). This helps the learner to develop and deepen comprehension and also use the new grammatical and vocabulary items.
- A pre-reading activity is designed to activate the learners’ prior knowledge on the topic, to arouse interest, to encourage them to predict the subject-matter of the given passages.
- A while-reading activity, which focuses on identifying main points, inferring and evaluating the meaning of the passage;
- A post-reading activity, expects readers to respond to what they have already read.
GLOBAL READING :
- Read between the lines (Inferential and evaluative comprehensions)
- This encourages the learner to think divergently.
MODES OF READING :
LOUD READING :
- Speed, audibility, clarity
- Correct pronunciation and suitable accent

Each card consists of facts, plays or short stories which range from Level 1 to Level 10 for self evaluation in order to perfect a learner’s speed, clarity, audibility, pronunciation and fluency
- STORY READING
In the learner’s voyage of discovery he gradually improves his competence in English as he steps into the rich and fascinating treasure-house of fables, myths, stories, plays, poems and essays. - RECITATION
For the three 'R's namely the Rhyme, Rhythm and Repetition for developing the art of voice modulation in speaking.
WRITING:
Calligraphy which is an art of writing helps one to present the writing skills in a very presentable way.
The learner
- Masters the mechanics of writing like punctuation, space and indentation;
- Writes paragraphs, compositions and essays, letters, articles, telephonic messages, notices for notice boards, telegrams, advertisements, reports, descriptive pieces and short stories.
- Uses appropriate vocabulary and grammatical items and writes at a reasonable speed.
